Related experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. Minimum one year previous forklift experience; other material handling equipment a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job Ability to perform mathematical calculations as related to shipping and receiving Familiarity with packing slips, receipt of goods, purchase orders is a must. Proficiency with MS Office, Internet, and various carrier websites in scheduling shipments online. Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers. Must be capable of estimating weight, and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping.
