This position is responsible for managing the company’s operations to provide an optimally functioning and efficient office environment in which the departments can effectively execute programs. Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting (non-profit preferred) Demonstrated experience in HR management, including experience creating and managing/implementing employment policies, benefit policies, payroll management, hirings and terminations, and compliance. Working under the direction of the Infrastructure Regional Manager & Rep/OEM/Contractor Sales Director, the Pratt Regional Manager is provided the opportunity to learn or expand upon their knowledge of the water and wastewater plant treatment & distribution industry and sales knowledge/strategies, all while earning a competitive base salary, sales incentives, and full benefit package. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following: Call on end users to promote new and existing product lines and develop favorable specification position. Work with Manufacturer Representatives throughout the assigned region to grow and expand product usage. Provide complete service to established distributor, contractor and end-user network including quotations, product training, technical and literary support, product complaint, inventory forecast, and delivery issues. Perform product training for representatives, end users and distributors to promote advantages of Mueller product and enhance specification position. Develop cooperative relationships with key distributors, contractors, manufacturer's representatives, OEM and end user personnel to enhance product demand. Assist Mueller Sales team in promoting Pratt and Milliken-branded products. Skill and experience in negotiating, sales data collection and analysis Establish sales goals and specification objectives to meet company sales budget. Identify significant bid opportunities and provide complete project information, including price strategy. Actively participate in trade organizations to promote assigned products. Continuously update end user's database for region. Provide Rep/OEM/Contractor Sales Director with monthly sales report, sales forecast, and market overview. Evaluate the effectiveness of the manufacturer's rep organizations on an ongoing basis from the standpoint of time devoted to the company, response to company inquiries, territorial coverage, general effectiveness and competenceand offer recommendations on changes to ensure meeting of objectives. Utilization of Salesforce.com and strategic selling Required Qualifications: A minimum of Five (5) years outside sales experience in the water distribution industry or related field (valves, construction, piping, etc.). Geographical residence in the assigned region near a major airport. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other technology-based productivity tools (i-Squared, McGraw Hill (Dodge), Salesforce.com, or other CRM based software. Valid driver's license with no major violations. Ability to routinely travel 75% of work schedule (estimated 3-4 days/week of travel with one office day). Ability to cover large geographical sales region. Intermediate computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs. High level of outgoing interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Comfortable with public speaking engagements and the ability to deliver presentations to large (30) groups of customers and other external contacts. Have ability to stand and give presentations for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift in excess of 40 lbs. to maneuver products during demonstrations.
