As a resource to facility staff, provides consultation on nursing practice and psychopharmacology as appropriate. Participate in treatment team conferences regarding diagnosis or treatment of difficult cases. Develops practice protocols for mental health problems based on review and evaluation of published research. Educate patients and family members about mental health and medical conditions, preventive health measures, medications, or treatment plans. Develop, implement, or evaluate programs such as outreach activities, community mental health programs, or crisis situation response activities. Responds to urgent calls from the facility and facilitates problem solving Maintains accurate records on patients treated Maintains accurate daily records for billing purposes and submits in a timely manner as directed.
